LONDON ART WEEK, JULY 2023

In conjunction with London Art Week, Rupert Wace collaborated with Rupert Bathurst, contemporary artist on an exhibition which explored the relationship between ancient and contemporary art, both visually and in spirit. 

Fragments of ancient civilisations, carry within themselves a story of their own creation, destruction, and subsequent discovery, bearing witness to the often-tumultuous history of human existence.  Broken yet perfect in themselves, it is through their inherent fragility that these objects connect with Bathurst’s evocative, deeply personal and abstracted works, establishing an intangible dialogue between the past and present.
